ParticipantPaul was an incredibly engaging speaker. Hearing how his mental health issues affected, impacted and inspired him to produce such stunning work was both moving and insightful.
10/10.

ParticipantSo the club was saving the best till last:-)
A most interesting and diverting evening. I agrees with all of the above comments.
Some interesting comments about Judges, which was refreshing.
I have often wondered what it would be like to have a seasoned newspaper editor come and judge a competition. I think they would have a unique viewpoint on the competition entries, which would be refreshing. Can I suggest he is invited back as one of our future judges?

An outstanding speaker who was able to describe what inspired him to take a photograph. His talk was all embracing providing us with with knowledge about himself and personal struggles as well as making us aware of the great breadth of his photographic experiences . I came away challenged and inspired.

KeymasterI had hoped that Paul would be a good finale to the season; my hopes were more than exceeded. I found Paul to be authentic and so open. Many of his images resonated with me but his personal story was even more powerful.
If some members were up for it, Paul would be happy to do us a tailored day workshop.

KeymasterThat’s great Louise. I’ve asked Paul to sketch out some ideas on location, numbers and cost.

ModeratorI thought Paul was a great speaker and very open about his problems and inspirations. Like a number of other speakers who we’ve had he’s very intense about his subject and almost obsessed with getting the image he wants going to extremes. I couldn’t stand in one place for 10hrs in the hope of everything coming together for that one perfect moment to take a photo. I did learn a lot though and will try and incorporate a lot of what he said in future.
I would be more than happy to have him back and would be interested in one of his workshops if we can negotiate something
