Steve Hedges LMPA LRPS – Creating Impact and Mood (following daytime workshop for interested members)

Steve Hedges has been a professional photographer for around 30 years ago venturing into public relations and commercial photography, portraiture, weddings, landscape and nature achieving distinctions with with the Master Photographer’s Association and the Royal Photographic Society. He has been regularly shortlisted in several outdoor photographer of the year competitions and British Wildlife photographer of the year competitions, most recently in in 2022. He now specialises in running landscape, wildlife and general photography courses over the UK.

This talk focuses on how to create an image that really has the ‘wow’ factor. An image with impact and mood. Steve will be showing us a series of before-and-after pictures with the after picture being a big improvement over the before picture. This helps emphasise the importance of thinking about what you want to achieve before hitting the shutter release. He will then look at the thought process behind creating a great picture and the various techniques to help achieve that aim.
