ParticipantI thought this was a really interesting presentation and though I can’t see myself ever processing to “fine art” in this way there was much to think about getting to your essence of a scene, and the idea of style with colour grading in a consistent palette.

KeymasterHello Sarah
Would you like to be able to advance your processing ability? I too was fascinated by David’s thinking about most aspects that he covered. I’m trying to draw together his thinking and David Garthwaite’s approach to post-processing.

ParticipantI really, really enjoyed this presentation and ended it with the feeling there was so much more to be said on each and every topic. I wish I had the time to follow through some of this stuff, but it’s given much food for thought. I noted the different viewpoint on ‘rule of thirds’ and ‘negative space’ – which conflicted with some of our previous judges’ (and speakers’) comments.

“I would be grateful if you would share with your members the following link to the detailed content of the available online fine art workshops. These take the various concepts shared briefly last night further and walk participants through the steps needed to achieve their desired results both in-camera or within post-processing. I require a minimum of three participants in order to run a workshop and limit the number to six. Here is the link https://davidrosenphotography.com/online-workshops/ Dates can be made to work around the members who might wish to participate.
With regards to street photography, I am in the process of designing a number of in-person workshops around key London icons. The intended areas will include, London Bridge, Barbican, King’s Cross, Blackfriars, Tate Modern & Bankside and Shoreditch. Members can contact me in person, details can be found on my website http://www.at-street-level.com

ParticipantOne of the best speakers we have had imho. As was mentioned above, he covered a lot of ground which really needs to be filled in with a more comprehensive course. I did a quick check on the RPS website but didn’t see any of his courses available at the moment.

ParticipantLots to take away from David’s talk. I found the section about developing your own recognizable style particularly interesting. I would be very happy to see David return to explore any of the subjects he covered in greater depth.
